Bag of the Season
This winter I think big bags are back, specifically fur bags. I am a big fan of YSL because of its timeless appeal. When I was thinking about the bag of the season, one bag came to mind. Yves Saint Laurent's NIKI shearling bag comes in two sizes: large and oversized. I'm obsessed with the idea of your bag being the focal point of an outfit. I'm tired of going out with a bag that fits nothing more than a lipliner and my cardholder.
Jane Birkin
It makes me think of the late and Iconic Jane Birkin and how she would utilize her bags. She would stuff her bags to the brim with everything from her belongings and her kid's things, and she would even personalize her bags with stickers, beads, charms, and ribbons. I love the idea of making accessories your own by adding elements that are special to you. And even better, carrying trinkets and crystals that bring good vibes everywhere we go. I think we should bring back the Mary Poppins bag. What do you think?
